Motorola's Droid gets laid bare, thanks to a post-launch teardown courtest of PhoneWreck.

Motorola's Droid has been the subject of much furor lately, fueled in-part by a series of ad spots, including Verizon's controversial campaign.

Now, following the Droid's recent launch, it was only a matter of time before someone decided to take the Android-powered device apart, unveiling the innards of the highly anticipated sliding smartphone.

This time the teardown comes courtesy of PhoneWreck, who have taken a series of images showing the new phone being completely disassembled. The teardown team are now in the process of identifying all of the phone's components, including the devices found on the Droid's logic board, with updates being pushed on their site and .

PhoneWreck described the teardown process as delicate and difficult, however they did detail that the phone's sliding mechanism was surprisingly simple.
