Submitted by Yoni Heisler on Sat, 11/16/13 - 6:40pm.

There is no shortage of startup companies refusing large buyout offers in the annals of tech. Groupon famously refused Google's buyout offer of $6 billion, while Facebook famously turned down Yahoo's $1 billion buyout offer. Even more obscure, Dropbox once refused an $800 million offer from Apple.

And now, there's yet another name we can add to the list. Snapchat.

Well this is gonna get interesting, folks. Fred Vogelstein's new book detailing the Android/iPhone dispute between Google and Apple has hit store shelves and released excerpts are explosive, to say the least

Now, it's no secret that Steve Jobs was no fan of Android. Not only did Jobs feel that Android blatantly ripped of Apple's iPhone, he also felt duped to the extent that former Google CEO Eric Schmidt used to hold a seat on Apple's board.

While some companies have gone wild with respect to smartphone screensize, Apple, in typical fashion, has taken a much more conservative approach. YouTube co-founder not a fan of YouTube's new Google+ commenting policy

You might say, and this would be putting it lightly, that YouTube co-founder Jawed Karim isn't too thrilled about the new commenting rules on YouTube.
Submitted by Yoni Heisler on Fri, 11/08/13 - 6:33pm.

Google recently made some slightly annoying changes to the way comments work on YouTube. You see, in an effort to bolster its laggard social network, Google now requires that all YouTube comments be associated with a Google+ account. Naturally, YouTube users are none too thrilled with the development.

The Simpsons yesterday took a rather hilarious jab at Siri, Apple's voice powered virtual assistant. In the scene below, a man tries to use Siri in order to give Homer directions to a nearby Hospital.

I won't spoil the punch line, but let's just say it's always a good idea to have your contact information backed up on iCloud.

This of course isn't the first time The Simpsons have focused their attention on Apple.

You might remember a few years ago, back in 2011 to be specific, that a number of tech companies joined forces to purchase more than 6,000 patents from communications giant Nortel. During Apple's media event yesterday, Apple executive Phil Schiller was in the midst of describing the great battery life offered by Apple's lineup of new MacBook Pros. In doing so, Schiller said that one could easily watch the entire Batman series (the Christopher Nolan selection, mind you) from beginning to end on just a single charge. In doing so, Schiller accidentally, albeit quite humorously, referred to Batman as the "Black Night."
